AFYA VERIFY
Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about AFYA VERIFY.

Learn how the platform works, what information is stored and the safe next step after receiving a result.

01What is AFYA VERIFY?

AFYA VERIFY helps people ask health questions and check information in plain language. It provides educational responses, which may later be reviewed by the team.

02How quickly will I receive an answer?

A preliminary response normally appears after you submit a question. If the analysis service is unavailable, we ask you to try again instead of guessing.

03Is the result a diagnosis or prescription?

No. AFYA VERIFY provides general health education; it does not diagnose an individual, prescribe medicine or handle emergencies.

04How are verdicts and sources provided?

The instant assessment appears first. The AFYA VERIFY team may review and correct it and add trustworthy sources before publishing a final fact-check.

05How long do articles stay on the website?

A published article remains on the website without an expiry date until the team edits or archives it. Articles and images are stored in a persistent database.

06Why might the website say there are no articles?

Only articles with Published status are shown. This version includes a starter article; other articles appear as soon as the team completes and publishes them.

07How are my information and usage statistics stored?

Do not submit a patient’s name or private details. We store submitted questions and aggregate usage statistics using a browser identifier; analytics do not store IP addresses or user agents.

08How can I find a doctor or hospital?

Use the MeGMeT section below a result or article for help connecting with a doctor or hospital. MeGMeT is a separate service; for an emergency, go to the nearest facility immediately.
